I recently updated to 4.2.3 and now I cannot get showeq to
see the client computer at all. I have put several
variations of IP Addresses in to the seqdef.xml file to try
to get these computer to sync up but to no avail. Still
does not see the packets. Physical config is from Cable
modem to router to hub. Worked before. /shrug
1. Do not use the patches section of the site as messageboard. IT IS NOT A MESSAGEBOARD
2. You didn't read the proposed patch of README.newbies even, did you?
From the document:
2.3 Starting ShowEQ
[]# export QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt-2.3.2
[]# cd /usr/local/bin
[]# ./showeq eth0 --ip-address=10.0.0.10
Of course, for it to work you will need to replace my ip (10.0.0.10) with the ip of your computer that is/will be playing everquest. if your showeq box is also your gateway, you might want to use "eth1" instead of "eth0".
