Does seq show when named mobs spawn?

I am not at all sure what seq actually does and was wondering if it can tell when named mobs spawn?

If it can do this what else can it do?

Yeah, I tried to get it to list mobs, by name and it just didn't work for me, was a real downer. One of these days, god willing, it'll be able to do that, until that time though... :(
