when i typed
cvs -d:pserver:
[email protected]:/cvsroot/seq login
it says cvs command not found. How can i get cvs command?

So you typed the above command at the DOS prompt?
I am just trying to gather more information.

please provide us with more information. if you can't think of what we might need, i will try and help you out...
Operating System (and distro): this SHOULD be some linux distro, otherwise that is the root of your problem...
ummm, well thats all i can think of that we would need right now :)

Perhaps you should (gasp!) install cvs... maybe even look through the RPMs that came with your disto... or try cvshome.org

no, it wasn't a dos prompt, it was a session in konsole on KDE red hat 7.3 download edition. I went to cvshome.org but the file i downloaded from there didn't work so im trying another. i didn't see the rpm to install from the disks that came with red hat, but they are probally there, you guys know what they are called?
