SEQ on Drake 8.2, success stories?

I am currently compiling using mandrake 8.2 I did the change to 3.0.4 in the shared file for it seemed the thing to do, and then saw on here that is one of many changes some people had to make to the 8.1 tutorial to get things done on 8.2. Can anyone enlighten me on anything else I will encounter using 8.2 if following the 8.1 HOWTO?

Many of the RPM packages are named slightly different. Didnt write the changes down at the time, wish I had.

Update:

I think i did it all right. ShowEQ even runs, but ...

The last step of the tutorial talks about a showeq.conf.dist file and renaming it, i dont have one. And when loading ShowEQ it looks for a conf file and doesnt see one. I remember reading somewhere about a update to the configuration files for ShowEQ but i cant remember where or what it said. Can anoyne fill me in on what im missing here?

i spent a week fooling around with this if you change those four lines to "gcc3" and "g++3" it will work
