libpng v2 ---v3

Well have some issue with the qt install because it is asking for libpng 2.0 and I have mandrake 8.2.. which comes with libpng 3.0 ..basically in trying to make this work..I manually removed version 3 installed ver 2 and it worked. Not sure if anyone posted anything related to this.

Not sure what version QT requires or for that fact KDE?

Not sure if this is the same library?

I makes no mention of a libpng2 or libpng3 only that the current version is 1.2.4.


Anyone know if there is 2 version of this lib out there/
