Well another idiot here....I just installed red hat 7.3 and have it on one cpu and window xp on the other. i have all showeq files in but when i use the ./showeq command on linux machine and give it the windows cpu address i get nowhere. i know that this is because of router and how it messes with ip's. If i just type in ./showeq it runs, but nothing there and i do the search thing and still the same...Any way i have read some otehr post and it sounds like i possibly need a hub but still not fully understanding why...Is there a way for em to get router to act like a hub in that way ?

Ok i got htis picture form another post....
Cable Modem

Router
|
| (to hub uplink)
Hub-------Linux computer

|
EQ computer

the question is this.....i got my router for the purpose so that i didnt have to pay my cable company addition fee for another ip address, so will both cpu still acccess internet this way, and sometime i play 2 account at same time...when guild does big raids...anyway will it interfer in that sense?

I dont see any reason to have router unless that is what it is doing

Read the FAQ (http://www.macsrule.com/~seqfaq/seq-faq.html) then after that use the search feature (http://seq.sourceforge.net/search.php) this question gets asked about 3 times a week, instead of reasking again, have a look at previous answers, the topic has been discussed thoroughly a zillion times.

Or is there any specific reason why the words in big typeface on the top of the forum don't apply to you?

Read this (http://www.macsrule.com/~seqfaq/seq-faq.html) before asking any questions. Then use use this (http://seq.sourceforge.net/search.php). After you have read and used both options, then and ONLY then should you ask your question. If your question is answered in either of those two locations, EXPECT TO BE FLAMED for being too stupid to read. You have been warned.
