Showeq not doing anything??

---on the install mandrake8.1 clean---

on section 5.

I was unable to do this step, because It told me It didn't exist??
So... I skiped it and tryed to run showeq.
it worked, but nothing hapened ones in showeq??
can anyone help mw with this??

how do I get the files that caused me to skip section 5.??

I believe that you discovered the showeq.conf files are no longer used (at least for 7.2 - I think for all distros), due to the xml structure - but other than this specific issue, you may want to post exactly what is or is not happening when you start the program from x. Take a look at the install.newbies file in your directory, as well as searching. What you discover will help the developers/regulars here direct you in the right direction - even if it means more reading on your part. It will definitely cut down on the heat from the flames - you have not posted enough information for anyone to guide you.

Edit - I saw your post a few down from this one - Cryonic & Lord Crush may have pointed out the issue.
