Ratt,
I did a small bit of research and came up with
http://www.PayPalWarning.com
a site to educate consumers, help people that have had bad experiences with PayPal, and warn potential new PayPal users.
This led me to an alternatives page. I'm not recommending these as I haven't had time to check them out, but at first glance they appear to be a much better option than PayPal.

I give regularly to the ACLU. I'd consider it a bonus if I could add the EFF and share the credit with SEQ (not to mention getting the cool tag here).
