ok.. got a question

I have SEQ running I get the map I get me on the map I get nothing else.. my key is Maggotboy's Super Stealth Sniffer V2 (code)

My showeq on the linux box saids this

can someone get an idea what Im missing? I know it will be something stuped but Im missing it

From this list, it would appear that SEQ is not receiving a key from the sniffer application.

You should receive a message in the SEQ shell window indicating that the key has been received and is being used. I don't see that here...

Make sure your snffer is sending the key to the IP address of your linux box and that the linux box is listening on a port ABOVE (not equal to) 10000 and your sniffer is sending to that same port.


tcpdump or ethereal are tools that can help you troubleshoot this.

I have the port set to 10000... From what I read that was ok.. but your saying that it has to be above 10000? whats the default for seq? I thought it was 10K. Not at home or I would send the info on how I have the key configured...

I'm not sure where you read that 10000 was ok. There are a LOT of posts here that say 10000 is NOT ok, though:
