VMware and networking

i'm using VMware i got showeq setup great because it works find when sniffing from my thrid computer. but it wont sniffer from the host box that that its running on. linux does have its very own Ip addy because it has a router ip starting with 192 or somthing like that and windows has the true connection to my isp starting with 68

i have tried alot of things to fix this. i fingered its now time to ask for help.
