I have just installed Debian and i get this wickey message when i try and compile Seq. So i wonder if i cant use the libqt3 with apt-get?

libqt3 is compiled against gcc 2.95.4, and showeq needs a copy compiled against gcc 3 or better.
so, compile your own, or wait for the maintainer to update libqt3 to gcc 3.2 (which should happen sometime soon, since the switchover to gcc 3.2 as gcc-default as occured.).
libqt3's transition to gcc 3.2 will probably coincide with kde 3's entry into sid.
oh, and if you arent running unstable already, update.

OK thanx alot for the fast reply then i know i have to compile the QT... i asked cos one of my friends said it was good enough with the libqt3 so i belived him until i just couldnt figher out why so i posted :-) now i can tell the bastard he knows nothing *grin*
