Similar Network Problem

Hi all,
Got RedHat 7.2 installed, downloaded and installed seq.

However, after I start the seq program nothing happens. I don't think i'm sniffing any data. I can get to the internet so I at least have that hooked up correctly. I tried chaging IP address in the showeq.conf file from 127.0.0.0 (default) to 192.168.1.1 (ip addresss of LinkSys Router) and 192.168.1.101 (ip address of eq machine). Nothing works - I just have a blank seq screen - no info just hte user interface.

Using one winxp machine and this linux box on the 4 port router. Am I missing something obvious? Any help would be appreciated.

can you ping the xp-box from your linux-box ?
Is the hub in the router a hub or a switch ?

The linksys router is actually a switch and not a hub. In order to get this working you will need to purchase a true hub (everything by linksys is actually a switch), or put a second network card in your linux box, and use it as your router.
