Still having problems with the latest fix for win98. Both of my machines I run WinME. The latest fix greatly improved stability; however, I'm still having a couple problems.
First, the client runs very slowly, it doesn't respond to any input for 2-3 seconds. It runs best in a zone with very few people, but is still very laggy. Also, when I zone, it crashes giving an overflow error.(If I hit stop, and wait for it to stop, I can hit go again and avoid this problem)
I believe the problem is with the server. When I connected my client machine to my friend's XP machine, it ran perfectly. (I believe this is the extent of the testing that CMB has done with 9x, due to equipment limitations)
I will try and see if a native compile of the server runs better. Just need to find a free C++ compiler.
Thanks
