xp pro question

I have just installed xp pro svp1 on a system and although I can run both the client and the server on it via the loopback interface, I can't get a client to connect from outside this box, I don't think this is a myseq problem, But some default seting of WXP Pro,
any anyone shed some light on this for me??

Are you using XP's built in firewall? Check under your TCP/IP settings on the advanced screen.
