I am having trouble with my slackware installation of Wine. the install instructions state to copy win.ini to the fake windows directory from the installation directory, but the file win.ini doesn't seem to be present.

Can anyone help me find the win.ini file, or e-mail one to me from their Wine install?

Or better yet, if it is indeed better, please suggest a different windows emulator that might be easier to configure or play everquest better...

Just get the source from CVS and configure/compile/install wine with one command:

cd wine-dir
./tools/wineinstall

That should set everything up for you near perfectly. ;)
