Is it possible to know who a mob is aggro on or does that information only come when you do an assist off of it?

There is no known aggro forumla and the client does not have this information, which means seq and myseq cannot aquire it. /assist is the only way I know of to determine who has aggro currently. Well, either that or it's the guy with the disappearing health bar :-)

You can use the Poor Man Aggro Checker. Turn on Draw Direction Lines, this will show you when mobs are aggro'd on to someone. Basically the mob is looking North and you run by to the South the Mob's line will quickly turn South then it will chase you.
As for a mob being beat down by a group of folks and knowing the exact person would be tough I think but the Direction Line should help you a little bit.

/assist on someone doesn't necessarily mean that person has the aggro either.

I think Dedpoet meant /assist the Mob not someone in your group. Whoever turns up with /assist Mob has aggro.
