View Full Version : Anyone got a list of what ZEMs were pre GOD ?

I know I've seen it posted a few places that exp seems to be going a little slower now with GoD about, wondering if it's befause of people having the new leadership stuff on and not knowing or sayin, or if the ZEM's have been changed. Anyone have a list of what the Zem's used to be for places like Sol Ro Tower and PoEarth ?

75 is normal exp
To calclulate percentage:
If the modifier 119 - 75 = 44
44 divided by 75 = 58.666 percent or 59%
119 = 59% extra XP
111 translates into 48% extra XP
111 - 75 = 36
36 divided by 75 = 48%

Since the group patch months ago, all PoP zones were lowered to 119 xp mod.
Ldon is 80 mod.

I would like to point out that there is now additional tweaks they can do to exp unrelated to ZEM.
For instance, the fishlord quest in PoWater. When initiated, a near constant stream of level 61 (I think) mobs come out of an area. When killed, you barely get 1 percent EXP. All other mobs in zone provide from 2 to 7 percent exp per kill grouped. They have some way to lower the exp per kill without resorting to ZEM.
I think you will also find that SolRo, elemental planes and up will provide more EXP than the 119 ZEM would lead you to believe.
At this point, I am not sure how to proceed. If this information IS available to us, it would likely be in the spawn struct. I have not had time to investigate this issue (and will not likely get time soon.)

Not on that list are Nurga/Droga both at 95, and The Hole, at 100.
They have some way to lower the exp per kill without resorting to ZEM.
A necro guildmate of mine insists the undead in CoD give signifigantly more XP than the puslings, and yet SEQ reveals them to be the same level. I was dubious of his report when I first heard, as at the time, I had not heard of a mob ever giving an amount of XP different than what would be expected due to level, ZEM, group mog, and difficulty mod. Your report lends crecedence to the existance of this pheneomina.
It's too bad they didn't start EQ like this in the first place, as there's quite a few places where mobs give disproportionate amounts of XP based on their level. For instance, a level 7 beetles and a level 7 basilisk in butherblock are night and day in terms of risk.

I'm fairly certain that there is an xp modifier for certain mobs, especially raid level mobs.
The reason I state this is because I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in xp that I receive from named mobs in Hate Plane versus mobs of the same level that are unnamed using the same group.

I'd agree with the exp modifier per mob idea as well. Some friends and I used to spend a fair bit of time in the "new" PoMischief. While the named were the same level as the rest of the mobs, they yielded about 3x the exp.

having experienced all of this myself, i can definantly confirm the two cases i have often seen:
First "bridge" in POFire mobs (the golems with a 40ish min respawn) are solidly more exp than the rest of the field of gib (yellow area)
GoD sewers trial 1, mobs are significatly LESS exp per kill, HOWEVER the rate of pulls/low hit points of the mob means i earn the same exp overall here as in fire doing yellows (1 aa about every 45min)
sounds like they are adjusting now to cap total exp. (as they said as justification for god aa cost, its too easy to exp at the high end)
