Does anyone have a working PHP server status script?
I have searched the boards here and found one that Ratt wrote a long time ago but I can not seem to get it to return the correct data. (Thanks for the reply Ratt)

I am wondering if the server status protocol published by SOE was changed after that script was published. I know this site has a similar script running in the left panes. Can not seem to find much out on Google either.

Any links or help would be appreciated.

I don't use this myself, so not sure if this is the same one you are talking about, but did you try the one in the files section here (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=10131&package_id=83491)?

Could always write your own, the spec of the protocol is here (http://eqlive.station.sony.com/support/tech_support/ts_status_protocol.jsp) . :)

Like I've already said, I don't believe the EQ status server returns valid data anymore, and hence ALL scripts of that nature are useless.

The server status on this site is not the same one you can download here, and does not use the EQ server status server... which is why it works (most of the time).

There is no source code for the one I use here available because it's far too resource intensive for widespread use.

Yeah, I can't get that code nor the module that postnuke offers to work.

However, this is this guy who has an awesome server status page at:

http://www.loosenut.com/~russell/eqstatus/

That pages lists all the servers and the server status for the past 48 hours in a graphic format. (shows dead spots if the server was restarted which is really cool to know for which mobs might be up).

I simply linked one of the images to my site at the bottom of my index page.

I'd ask him for the code so I don't have to use his bandwidth, but he doesn't mention on how to obtain it, so I'm assuming it's not available.

You can try though.

Hmm. Seems he is using MRTG to monitor the servers. I wonder if he is just pinging them..
