ok tried searching for sitting mana, mana regen, etc. couldnt find what im looking for.
MQ (macroquest) is apparently showing siting/standing mana regen diffrence of 19 @ 65. this is a far cry from the 26 @ 65 that popular opinion holds as accurate for total sitting mana (so diffrence should be 23)
has anyone been able to get mana regen/updates working, that can maybe shead some light on this?

Mana is held server side. The client guesses how much mana you have recovered from sitting/mana regen spells and only upon casting a spell/proc/item effect will you get an update to the mana you actually have.

Yes, I'm familer with the way it works, the problem is, currently ShowEQ doesnt decode mana.
it used to show updates when you clicked an item/cast, now it doesnt (hence why i asked if someone had gotten it working)

Sorry i wasnt clear on what im after. In one of the 4.x versions, it would send mana updates to the console window (like mana +47, or mana -240)
it made it easyer to calculate what a spell used, or regen/tick.
I hadn't been using the character data window with 5, so i opened it up and loaded mana, its ok, but harder to use than the results in console were.
