Gave this new .iso a shot and seems to be one major problem.
libpcap-devel is on disk4 which doesn't exist ;) Not a huge deal, guess can just grab it off rpmfind.net
Ran into a few other issues with pcmcia ethernet card not working properly.
For now, will need to wait till 10.0 official in May and give it another shot. Was much more resource intensive than 9.2

Just started using Mandrake 10 as well.
Noticed that gdbm is missing as well. And it has this odd tendency to not want to let you log into root sometimes but rebooting works rather well to fix that. Still rather beta though.

Aside from the 2 missing packages you both mentioned I didnt have any problems setting up SEQ 5.0.0.7 on Mandrake 10. Havent had a much time to play with SEQ on it, but havent had any crashes thus far. Great post btw, you saved me considerable time as I searched unsucessfully for the mysterious "Disk 4" :)

Well 10.0 official still has the same bugs.
If you try to install libpcap-devel or libgdbm-devel from Mandrake, it will ask you for Disk 4 (only 3 CDs available).
To get libpcap-devel, you will need to go to rpmfind.net and search for:
libpcap0-devel-0.8.1-1mdk.i586.rpm
To get libgdbm-devel, search for:
libgdbm2-devel-1.8.0-24mdk.i586.rpm
With those 2 packages installed, 10.0 Official compiled SEQ fine.

If you are not having luck with the default rpmfind, try Googling for rpmfind and choosing another mirror.

Got a bit farther, then THIS happened:
ONS=false -DICON_DIR=\"/eq-icons/\" -c packet.cpp
In file included from packet.cpp:25:
packetcapture.h:21:18: pcap.h: No such file or directory
In file included from packet.cpp:25:
packetcapture.h:68: error: syntax error before `*' token
make[2]: *** [packet.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/showeq/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/showeq'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
Keep the ideas coming Reaver, I am getting close I can smell it!
:D

Despite having cut and pasted your 2 suggestions up above into RPMfind, for some reason the install of the libpcap RPM must not have taken properly. I re-did it, and everything now works fine. Thanks Reaver!

I installed 10 more then a month ago and had same problems finding the correct packages. Used the ones from 9.2 and it works fine.
Good luck
