View Full Version : Zem?
Has anyone noticed that the zone experience modifier for all zones seems to be 1.0 now? Is this actually how it is, or is SEQ misinterpreting it, or am I doing/not doing something? I'm getting my ZEM info from the console output of SEQ when you enter a zone.
(Edit: I'm running v5.0.0.7)

According to Zaphod on IRC, they are no longer sending the ZEM as part of the zone packets...

Yes, it appears that they are no longer sending down the ZEM or always sending down 1.0. :(
Those rat bastards... Oh well...
Enjoy,

exp now appears to be based on the mob itself.
What I've learned so far:
level plays a small factor
hit points play a large factor
some named are worth significantly more than zone average
dps seems to be a factor (maybe base DB on a mob?)

How are you determining this??? Are you zoning after every kill?

Since this seems to have happened about the time they introduced 'hot zones', my guess is that they've put the 'bonus XP' factor into a separate table based on player level also... good from a gameplay point, since they can create new mobs with better XP reward factoring in the difficulty, not just the level (like in D&D, it's not just the monster's hit dice that determines XP reward).
From a SEQ user view tho, it's a bit annoying :D
