Hi guys ( n maybe gals, if there are any )
Iv'e had a constant problem with logging into the cvs server to do updates.
Every time i do the usual login process I get a connection time out on port 2401 and after a bit of exploring on the sourceforge pages i found an alternate way to log in.
cvs -d:pserver:[email protected]:443/cvsroot/seq login
This line allows me to log in without a problem but when I do
cvs update
I get a time out again, but its still attempting to use port 2401.
I'm assuming you have to lock cvs to this port 443 in some way but i'm not sure how.
I'm presuming its my redhat 9 firewall blocking the port in some way and did make a TCP rule allowing port 2401 incoming and ourgoing (via webmin) but with still no sucess.
Any help greatly appreciated
