First, you have to install Linux as your operating system. This means getting rid of Windows. If you really are a 'noob at comp things' then this might be beyond your means. Take a look at MySeq instead.

Now, if you understand what installing Linux means, and are having problems with actually compiling or installing from a package, you should include some more details of your actual problem, like what error messages you are getting.

oh yes , i have only one comp , running under Windows , and planning to make showeq run under same comp as EQ itself...
