CVS Login problem

Just installed Ubuntu Linux Distro.. Trying to download SEQ thru CVS.. I'm using the following:

cvs -d:pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/seq login

the command completes ok.. but when I hit <enter> for the password it just sits there and never logs in... anyhelp would be appreciated..

I even put the machine on the DMZ thinking that maybe my firewall was blocking it..

It's cvs.sourceforge.net, not cvs.seq.sourceforge.net. Are you using cvs for a reason instead of just using the tarballs?

Are the Tar ballz recommended over the CVS version now? It's been almost a year since I've installed SEQ.. Searched thru the archives etc.. guess I was still looking at the same old posts from 2004 early 2005..

Yes, tarballs are recommended over cvs unless you have a reason to want to use cvs.
