starting over with a new harddrive, downloaded server and client and started up. Doesnt seem to work.

failed to locate process 'eqgame'

Make sure you have admin privileges.

Either everquest was not running, or you cannot see it.

Press Control-Alt-Delete and look at list of Processes. You should see an eqgame.exe in there somewhere.

I have admin privileges

I see EQGAME.EXE in taskmanager

If I use the 1.18.2 server, I can connect but only see myself in the spawnlist.

any suggestions?

If it does not, please run with the 'debug' option and use the 'sp' debug menu option.
C:\> myseqserver debug

>sp (runs the 'scan process names' debug feature)

and report the output back to me.

Thanks. I'll have to look at it more. The problem was definitely that your eqgame.exe was in uppercase, which makes me nervous. I hope it was not infected with a virus, since the one that comes from Sony is always lowercase.

In any case, it found the process, but I am not sure why it had an issue with the offsets. Did you extract all the files? Were you fully logged into the game when you attempted to connect? It appears you may have been at the login screen, so I will need to look at that some more.

Also, you don't need to save the whole image. You can copy the text by right clicking on the titlebar, select Edit->Mark, then use the mouse (or shift and arrowkeys) to highlight the desired text, press Enter to store the marked text into the clipboard buffer, and then paste (control-V) that text here in your post.
