Just curious, but Mapfiend recently removed the SEQ maps and are now only offering the SOE maps. Are those maps useable by MySEQ? I noticed that the maps directory has zone.map as the files, but the Mapfiend maps are zone.txt. Is there a tool to make the .map out of the .txt now that they've stopped offering the SEQ maps?

Yes, MySEQ loads SEQ format files (.map extension) OR SOE format files (.txt extension).

Prior to the LoY expansion, there was no in-game map, and hence, no SoE map files. SEQ formatted map files were done by players. Once LoY came out, and Sony started providing maps in the form of txt files, MySEQ added in a read routine that was able to parse the new format. It's been in there about 3 years now.

You can also take the txt files directly from you Everquest folder if you wish. The only problem is that the z axis values are actually reversed, so your depth filter may get improper results. The SoE formatted files from mapfiend.net usually have the Z axis values correct.

I have not had any problems using the SoE formatted map files.
