Nope, they are mutually exclusive applications as one runs under linux and the other under windows...

Yes, ShowEQ is pretty much tits on a turkey unless you are also running EQ.

ShowEQ runs on linux. Read the INSTALL documentation and use the search button on the board here for setup information.
