Pretty sad actually that I am still playing EQ after almost 8 years.

I've tried half a dozen other MMORPGs and still prefer EQ by a wide margin.

A lot has to do with the people I play with, though.

The game isnt the same. All my friends are gone but I joined a raiding guild. Which, in my opinion, is the only thing that is really left.

With the grouping changes, the group has to be within 5 levels of each other or the xp really sucks, that is if your on the low end of the range. Groups are far and few to be found.

From what I have seen, the casual game is pretty much dead. Trash hit like tanks and unless your equipped in 300+ gear, you aren't going to survive more than a round or 2. Most stuff in TSS hit for 1k+ (and quad) in TBS green mobs (the old light blue) were hitting for a low of 500 to a max of around 1700! It is just sick.
