ShowEQ will not work with WoW because ShowEQ is in essence a network sniffer and the EQ and WOW network protocols are completely different.
ShowEQ is open source software which means that those who use it write it. If you would like ShowEQ to work with WOW then you are welcome to submit patches and code to make it do so.

There are other issues, the packet stream from WoW is encrypted, you would need to figure out how to unencrypt it. Also, if it is like most other games, only information in a small area around you is transmitted, unlike Everquest.
Everquest you have to remember came out almost 10 years ago, they are one of the few games that actually transmits all the data for the zone. I guess they never thought that someone would actually create a program like SEQ. There have been many theories as to why they transmit the whole zone information. Some of the most popular theories are that most people were on dialup back then and even though it took up more bandwidth, the client could render the other players and mobs rather than things warping into view at the last moment because of lag. Other theories are that no one ever thought of limiting the what was sent to the client. MMORPGs were still in their infancy. Another theory is that EQ was rushed into production (just like everything else they have done) and that it was done that way just to get it to meet deadlines.
