Thinking of coming back to the game, and wondered what you all thought of the current state of EQ, and how hard would it be for a 60th level bard to come back and get back into it?

Actually a new server just opened up. It is a 51/50 server which means you start at level 51 and have 50aa to spend. It just opened about a week or 2 ago so there are still quite a few in the grouping levels. Then again, there are some that are already 85 with 1000AA. That would be my best suggestion.

As for your bard, you will probably be soloing for the most part. Grouping is dead (and has been since way before mercs were introduced). If you do come back, try it for a month and if you are still interested, buy SOF. Even though you have a long way to go before you are level 80, SOF introduced Mercs. There are cleric and tank mercs. They really help since the group game is dead.
