ShowEQ working status?

Hi
What is the current usability status of ShowEQ?
I just wounder if im banging my head needlesly in the keyboard, i have the tarball showeq-5.13.10.2.tar.bz2 and i have tried to apply different patches i found in SEQ Development forums, but i cant get ShowEQ to "decode" and show me maps and npc's.

Is it broken at the moment or culd some one point me in the right patch/solution direction?
