app not populating when zoning and not showing anything

Spent the time to get it working on centos 6.5 etc. Builds / runs.
Says
Info: Client Detected:
Info: Listening for client
Info: Initializing Packet Capture Thread:
Info: Filtering packets on device eth0, IP host

showeq never populates spawns etc
What am I missing?

I could not get the vm solution to work so I kept at the separate box solution.
I was using an intelligent switch and using port mirroring.
1-uplink
2-eq box
3-linux box
I was going 2 to 3 but obviously it's not doing both out and in traffic since it detecting the client but that was it.
You have to mirror both the eq box and the uplink port to the linux box for it work. Incase others have trouble using an intelligent switch.
It's working now.
