i'm w/ the OpenP2P Project (http://openp2p.tk) and we're also running vB. however, we are having problems with members logging in. how did you guys get your vB to work on SourceForge? did you ever have problems w/ weird usernames similar to 'G45=lclsjchs==' showing up?

This place had the problem too. It was a cookie problem. Go to this link and check it out.

thanks, but do you know how they fixed it?
It's starting to come back to me now ...
Due to the fact that your VB is hosted on Sourceforge, and you can only have one identical cookie name per domain (and only 20 cookies) ... the SF "username" cookie is md5()'d and when vb tries to pull the cookie("username") it ends up pulling the SF username cookie and not the vb cookie (which gets superceded by the SF cookie anyway).
I can't recall how I fixed it though... I'll have to dig through the files.

i think u might get ride of this problem useing a path for cookie.
Got to ur vb Admin CP, click vBulletin Options, HTTP Headers and output and set a Path to save cookies differant than the default '/'.
Migh work...

well i tried both of yer suggestions and neither worked. i even tried to use Woltlab Burning Board and it had the same problems. now i'm stuck w/ UBB (CGI based, blah..). i might try XMB or UBB Threads. YaBBSE didn't work either.
thanks for all your help.

ok, they have an attachment mod. should've RTFM'd first.
i'd really like to use vB, so if anyone has more ideas please let me know. can't figure this out for the life of me.
