O.k, let me start off by saying the reason for this setup is I do not have a seperate pc to run linux.
I am running vmware under winXP. I have installed Red Hat 7.2 and have succesfully downloaded and compiled showeq 4.0.1. When running linux inside of vmware I am able to connect to the internet thru the dialup on winxp. Vmware will share the host machine ip address (winxp dialup), and I am able to ping the winxp machine via the ip address assigned from my isp. My problem is that Showeq does not see my eq running on the winxp machine.
Example:
ip address of xp machine is 217.122.122.122
so I launch showeq with the command line ./showeq -i eth0 217.122.122.122
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
