configure errors

I am using Slackware 8.0 (freshly installed

Here is the error

(I have located libEQ.a in both /usr/lib and /usr/local/lib, then ran ldconfig)

I also found the dummies guide to QT here and have been attempting to install it as well :/ having troubles with that also
