    Client not working at all....

After installing the server and client I keep receiving an error starting the client and it will not start.

Server seems to be working okay, but when using the latest client after install I receive a fatal error in (10000x00035) or something like that. Will attempt to get past error, any idea?

Using Windows XP. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times but with the same results and the same error.

Are you using the Self Installer? Have you installed .Net Framework 1.1? What versions of Server and Client are you using? Did you try the troubleshooting steps?

Answer these questions and we will be able to get it working.

Used the Self Installer found here:

    http://www.rexpage.com/MySEQ/

Placed shortcut on desktop automatically. Client version Client 1.15.12 and Server Version 1.11.

Did not install any older versions or .net framework or anything other than server and then client. I cannot remember if I re-downloaded or not, I will try that this afternoon, but everything seemed to install fine.

I'm at a lost, I read the instructions even checked out the boards a few days prior to downloading thinking I could handle any problems I might see but never thought I couldn't even get the client to open

Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install the .Net Framework 1.1 and this will solve your issue.

Please read the instructions for downloading. Its on at least 3 places there that you must download the .NET Framework with links directly to it.

    Still no go here....

Downloaded .net framework, followed instructions and still get the error box something like "Unable to initilize appliction. Error at (10000x00035)" Or something like that. It really sounds like a corrupt file, OS issue, bad install or something. Any suggestions?

I appreciate the help here, sorry I hadn't followed the instructions to a tee the first time. Unfortunately still not working for me.

Ok...I just downloaded and installed a copy on my WinXP box.

The only error I noticed is that the shortcut placed on the desktop says "1.15.10" which doesn't matter except for looks.

Lets try the simple things first, and we'll figure it out.

    (1) Make sure you did infact install the .NET framework and not the .NET SDK.

    (2) If #1 is a go, then try uninstalling and reinstalling the mySEQ client again. Here's the direct link again if needed.

Once you have done those 2, then post the exact error and when you receive the error. We'll work it out from there.

As another possibility, have you tried installation via the zip file located here?

If you did it via the Zip file then you would need to download the SupportFiles.Zip and install them into the Client directory.

Hey guys, got busy and didn't have a chance to post. But I did get everything working following your advice in this thread. I downloaded .net using the link and not windows update, downloaded lastest self installers of client and server and everything seems to be working. Still learning the client and all the features but I am up and running. Thanks again!
