Audio event for Alert / Locate spawn

Hi guys, I cannot seem to get an Audio wav file to play when a rare spawn pops.

I am using this command at the moment, which seems to work in Terminal, but not within SEQ.

    - ShowEQ | Audio Commands | Spawn

    Code:
    aplay /usr/share/sounds/linuxmint-gdm.wav &
    Any help please!

I don't really use this functionality, so someone else who does may have better suggestions.

    But a few thoughts:

First, make sure you have "Use Commands" checked in the filters menu. It's easy to overlook.

Second, check your showeq console log for any errors from aplay. A situation I could see popping up is running the pipewire daemon as part of the desktop user's session, but running showeq as root, in which case, aplay wouldn't be able to talk to the pipewire server.

And the 'Use Commands' tick box was the problem. (*slaps forehead*)

Good you figured it out. I used to have custom sounds but it has been 20 years since I used it.
Filters for ShowEQ can now be found here. filters-5xx-06-20-05.tar.gz

ShowEQ file section is here. https://sourceforge.net/project/show...roup_id=10131#
